Used the shop about 4 times now - 2 watch straps, a new glass, and a service, all on seprate visits. The service has always been excellent and prices are very reasonable. Will continue using and would highly recommend.
I went to Timpsons to quote for watch glass replacement and new battery, plus, needed to get the metal strap fixed. They were going to charge about same price as a new watch and have to send it away! I then went to Walsh and the nice guy charged a fraction of the price and was able to do it all in 30 mins. Amazing service from a genuine and honest guy. Highly recommend this place to repair your watch.
Rude and dishonest owner. My brother bought a expensive £180 pound watch and it stopped working after a few days. On top of that my brother said that he sold him the watch that was not even brand new in the box but instead sold him the one in the display shelf which could have been there for a while. If you buy something you would expect it to be sealed in its original packaging. The owner was unapologetic and blamed it being the battery which I pointed out should have been changed to a new one when he bought it. The owner replied saying its not his fault. What a poor lack of basic customer service and quite frankly dishonest. I would avoid this jeweller. Not trustworthy or honest.
Went to sell a ring (engagement) as not needed paid £2300 in January for it. Got receipts box and valuation proof. It's 18k white gold with 1.5ct dark rich blue Sapphire surrounded by .50ct of H/Si (one of highest dimpndd quality). The ring is gorgeous. She said we only buy scrap and tried to offer me £50-60 for it. Not even a joke the cheek of the lady! I'd been offered £950 at a pawn shop! elsewhere but thought I'd shop around. The lady thought I was some young idiot who knew nothing about gold. I said to her that scrap is about £21 and theres 4.4grams of it there alone! Disgusting company after doing research the once went to court for conning an old pensioner! How are they in business.
Bad experience - They tried to charge me over £150 to polish/clean my Tag Heuer Watch, they were unable to give me a price until I declared what brand of watch it was. Lyons in croydon did the same job for £18!!! I always try to support the local businesses but this level of incompetence is awful. Communication was abrupt, service overpriced and I don’t intend to be going there ever again.
